February 25, 2009 – Huh? A DVD released before the TV movie? Ok, I’m ready to buy. It is the prequel to Battlestar Galactica after all!

February 25, 2009 – This is a great talk by one of the authors of one company that held the line during the withdrawl from the Chosin Reservoir, during the Korean War. A Great story. Glad it’s been told!

February 25, 2009 – Not a story I am proud of but it did make national news on many sources. Must be a slow news day!

February 24, 2009 – I’m blogging more and more at TechScamps.com. Most of the technology stuff I write about will be over there. Check it out and let me know what you think!

February 24, 2009 – Don’t know when I will need “nuclear grade Duct tape” but I sure want some! May be a good gift idea for many in my family!

Nuclear Grade Duct Tape

No self respecting person I know is without Duct Tape in their house. In fact, many people have a roll in the garage and a roll in each vehicle. You just never know when or where you will need Duct Tape.

Now I read on Uneasy Silence, found  via Lifehacker, that 3M has a Nuclear Grade Duct Tape.

According to 3M’s website:

High Performance Duct Tape Nuclear Grade. A unique construction of high tensile cloth and aggressive adhesive. Designed for applications in the shipbuilding, nuclear power plant and stainless steel industries. Sunlight/UV Resistance for up to 6 months.

Apparently it peels off without leaving a residue and it’s available at Amazon.com.

I’m not sure I will be available for an emergency at a nuclear reactor soon. Nor exactly when I will need this for computer repair. But I know a few shipbuilders. And this would be the perfect gift for most anyone.

February 24, 2009 – I have several family members who are shipbuilders and retired navy. Growing up in Maine, I love maritime history. So any discussion of the future of the United States Navy and naval power projection is something I find interesting.

February 24, 2009 – Just wanted to re-post a couple of interesting links from Hilary Nangle. Thanks Hilary!
