For a long time I’ve always included links on my personal website to the many social media services that I’m a member of. Although I was a member of many of the larger ones, I’ve not been very active. I kept links to the larger services thinking it would be beneficial.

I no longer believe that. So I’ve reduced the links I list on this website.

X, formerly Twitter, is only really useful to me when I am looking for breaking news. I removed it.

Threads seems nearly useless to me. I rarely visit it and the people I follow there, I also follow in other places. Few people or business post content that is unique to Threads. So I’ve dropped it.

I tried hosting my own Mastodon instance, but discoverability is difficult when not on a large server. I’ve ended that experiment.

So, if you are family, co-workers, or neighbors then follow me on Facebook.

If you want to know how proud I am of my daughter, or enjoy seeing some photography that I capture, then follow me on Instagram.

I’m always open to more professional connections on LinkedIn. I feel my profile is poorly done. I’m considering ways to better show off my skills and experience.
